EWP Training Courses (EWPA-Yellow Card ®) at JLG Industries (Australia) Qld Head Office at Eagle Farm in Brisbane, QLD
All Operators must to be trained and deemed competent in each specific type of EWP under consideration as outlined below.
- Vertical Mast Lifts (VL) - Push Around or Self Propelled.
- Scissorlifts (SL) - Slab or All Terrain types.
- Self-Propelled Boom Lifts (BL) -Articulated or Telescopic (Straight).
- **Trailer Lifts (TL) - Articulated.
- **Truck/Vehicle Mounted Lifts (TM) -Articulated or Telescopic (Straight).
This is a requirement under the AS2550.10:2025 -Australian Standards, OEM (Manufacturers Spec's) and the PCBU (Employer) has a duty of care to provide training, instruction and supervision to ensure the workers safety as outlined under current WHS/OHS Legislation.
All courses can be delivered at your workplace as long as all of the necessary resources and the compliant specific EWP type is available.
Note** These EWP types can only be delivered at the clients workplace/site.

EWPA News Update
The EWPA has registered the EWPA YELLOW CARD ® and YELLOW CARD® as trademarks. This is a very important when it comes to preserving the strength of the EWPA Yellow Card® Training Program which is exclusively associated with EWPA and our accredited trainers authorised to deliver the program. This means any organisation found to be using these terms in relation to their activities without EWPA's licence or approval will be contacted and requested to remove references to these terms.

EWPA - EWP 'Digital' Operator License (Official Yellow Card®) Course
EWP Modules available at Eagle Farm are as follows:
- VL-Vertical lifts (for any height, size and type)
- SL-Scissorlifts (for any height, size and type)
- BL-Self Propelled Boomlifts < 11mtrs
Cost:
1 x EWP Module- $290.00 per person ( gst exempt) an additional fee of $30.00 will apply for each additional EWP Module.
There is also the option to receive a Statement of Attainment for the RIIHAN301E Operate Elevating Work Platform Unit of Competency from EWPA’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Industry Compliant Training (ICT) RTO ID 40825.
This application must be completed within 6 months from the date of successful completion of training.
The holding of this Statement of Attainment is a requirement for those wishing to work in the Coal mining, Metalliferous mining, Drilling and Extractive Industries.
On successful completion of the course a Hard Plastic/Physical Yellow Card® can be requested online from the EWPA for a fee.
Training can be conducted at your workplace as long as an appropriate meeting/training room for the theory and the relevant compliant EWP type/s for the practical.
We are also accredited for the Trailer Mounted and Vehicle/Truck Mounted Lifts as well.
As I conduct predominately Private Sessions during the week (Mon-Fri) I may have some dates free... so please contact us for further information.
Note* This is not the Govt's (WP Class) High Risk Work License Course for Boom Type EWP's > 11mtrs.

EWPA Yellow Card ® License Course Details
Start Time:
6:30 am (Please arrive at around 6:15 am for site induction).
Finish Time:
This will depend on the number of EWP Modules that are required plus the experience of each trainee attending the course. (Maximum of 5 trainees for quality/safety of the session).
Location:
JLG Industries - 223 Fison Avenue West - Eagle Farm - Brisbane Qld.
Trainee requirements for the day:
One (1) form of formal ID (i.e. Driver's License, 18+ Card, High Risk Work License) Hard Hat, Hi-Vis Vest/Shirt, Safety Footwear, Eye Protection.
Refreshments will be provided.
No Parking is available on site but there is plenty of on street parking.
A median strip is located directly across from 223 Fison Ave West which can be used.

Course Prerequisites:
The Training program has no pre-requisite units.
However, MEWPs require operators to have a thorough understanding of the risks associated with using them.
This includes being able to read and understand technical information such as instructions for emergency lowering systems, wind speed ratings, variable rated capacity restrictions, operator’s manuals and logbook checklists.
Participants should be 16 years of age and over.
Note ** As per Government guidelines, participants in Vocational Education & Training (VET) education programs that are under 18 years of age require their parent or guardian to sign a consent form.
The parent or guardian of the student who is under 18 years old but over 16 years old must complete and sign a consent form before the participant attends the Yellow Card YC® course.
